So… what exactly is the SD Protocol? And more importantly, how does it effect us?
Our bodies are designed to move. It's not just about exercising in the way that some people visit the gym or run a marathon. It's about the way our brains control what we do, sending messages to our nerves, ligaments and muscles so that we move enough to be able to live.
The human body has been constructed to walk, stand, sit, catch, dance and smile. All these things are movements. Moving acts as a stress relief, increases your resistance to disease and releases happy hormones that make us feel good about ourselves and our life.
Moving also helps us manage our weight so that we remain fit and healthy. However, if you are desk-bound or in some other sedentary profession, exercising can become a chore. Our aim in these pages is to encourage ways that you can always be on the move, without having to force yourself to do something you don't enjoy.
